This ramp will not be permanent. The need is for taking my Mother in Law to therapy for a broken hip. I probably will only need it for about twelve weeks.
I have two entrances to the house. The rear door is opening approximately 29 inches, the front door is 35". I prefer to use the rear door where it is out of
site when not in use. Just don't want it stolen. It will be easier to slide in place at the rear door as here I can avoid the grass that is in the front. My thinking is that with the 22 inch rise with three steps, that I could use something about eight feet long. This might keep it light enough to move around, but not so steep that I can push her chair up the ramp.
My Mother in Law is small and less than 100 pounds. She will be pushed up the ramp in a child's model wheel chair upon her release from the hospital.
If anyone has any plans, I would sure appreciate receiving them.
